i dunno about to takagi but haibaras definitely done that
So Conan took a video of Mary
Yeah
Ok so I was reading up on Mary Sera and the subtitles/anime is a little off.
She actually describes conan as: "it is like encountering a demon in the darkness" (ζγγγ«ι¬ΌγηΉγγε¦γ) (From Detective Conan wiki)
But it's interesting because Gin uses the same line to describe Kogoro when he thought that Kogoro was the one that planted the receiver. In the anime he uses the same line as Mary, that all sorts of monsters lurk in the dark. The wiki states that he used the same line, presumably "it is like encountering a demon in the darkness" to describe Kogoro.
Or, because I don't understand Japanese, it's possible that the translation on the wiki is off.
As for Asaca being a woman,
Technically, it is a little off. The ones on the wikis that I see now say "As If Connecting with a Demon in the Darkness", since "tsunagu" is much closer to "connect" than "encounter", but clearly we're still not getting the full picture.
I put "ζγγ" (kuragari) into Jisho, and got the related idiom "ζγγγγηγεΌγεΊγ" (kuragari ni ushi wo hikidasu"): "to be unable to distinguish one thing from another; to come out from the darkness with a cow". Putting that together with explanations of the "oni" variation of the phrase, we can see that they're describing Conan/Sleeping Kogorou respectively as mysterious threats, but we can tell that much from the show. I still can't make it work in English any better than the subtitles or the either more word-for-word translation from the wiki.
As for Asaca being a woman,
@OTenseiSensei too...
guys, let's put it this way. professionals are doing the subs now; these are Crunchyroll's files so ;) take them on face value and just go with it. ;)
plus, remember the context that old idiom is being plugged into.
we've got a few sayings that are similar in English.
"fumbling around in the dark."
"i wouldn't want to run into that guy in a dark alley."
"blindly walking into a situation."
plus you've got to remember in the mythological age of Japan: some monsters had physical forms, some had only spirit forms, and other had a form slightly like both or they switched back and forth. most of those monsters had definitions and names and types with names.
an Onii is a physical monster that specifically lived in Hell/Jigoku... u know them, two horns on the forehead, tiger skin loincloth, waving around big iron clubs, slavering slobbering long tongues, huge teeth like boar tusks, some had red skin, and some had blue skin, Momotaro the Peach Boy supposedly killed off a whole island of them etc. they especially loved devouring humans, one tribe preferred them dead first, the other tribe wanted to eat live people.
Hard to find this episode
Shhh we know now
Kokuri-san, Kokuri-san
ahhh good! mouri in that calm talking accent tho
last eps of yesterday love ed , literally one of my fav ed :")
conan should have hear that culprit screams WHO ARE YOU ?! at mary
Wow hearing them in the preview
Loving seeing the members of the black organization
Pretty decent case
First time conan doesnβt have his bow-tie this time
Waiting for that one episode where conan will outsmart everyone like gin vermouth mary nd even his comrades like akai nd amuro
It would have been hilarious if Conan actually thought it was Mouriβs inner voice talking this time
Sera's tooth annoyed me this episode. How is she able to talk with that thing just hanging out of her mouth like that lol
Mama didn't have to do Takagi like that π
Why do I get the feeling she's not the first important character to do that, though?
